Sorell Hotels From idea to new web platform for a Swiss boutique hotel group – one brand, many hotels.

Sorell Hotels rethought its positioning and brand to strengthen its place among boutique hotels. The new identity was to go digital: one web platform that carries every hotel of the group and leads from first interest to booking.

Experiences that last

Direction

First came sketches in the existing look, then a new direction: illustrations, calm colour fields and an elegant serif. It turns a hotel website into an invitation.

Each hotel its own, all clearly Sorell

One hotel, one colour

Every hotel gets its own colour and illustration. Logo, typography, grid and components stay the same – each hotel feels personal and still belongs to the group.

The place first, then the room

Hotel pages

Each hotel page first tells where you are and what makes the hotel special. Rooms, offers and restaurant follow, with the booking bar always within reach.

The right hotel in a few clicks

Overview

“Our hotels” shows all hotels by region. From every card you go straight to the hotel or to availability.

Restaurants and events are part of it

More than a bed

Food, bars and events are part of the experience. Dedicated modules for events and dining make them visible on the platform.

A system that grows

Impact

The platform is built on a design system of colours, typefaces, grid, image formats and components. Since launch it has been developed continuously.

“As a team, the ability to shift perspectives must be ensured in order to adapt business models across all departments of a company and continuously create added value within the customer’s ecosystem. In this, Liip has supported us as a technology partner with the launch of our new online platform, implementing the development in a visionary, efficient, and sustainable way.”
