The idea
A typographic poster lives by its grid. What happens when the grid itself becomes the tool and every letter fills its cell completely?
What it’s for
I set the grid, proportions and type once; after that, the look carries any new sentence. A team can carry on campaign and event posters on its own without losing the typographic signature.
A tool for making typographic posters from a grid. Each cell takes a letter that stretches to fill the whole cell – so the same text keeps producing new images.
- Enter a sentence: each word becomes a line, justified edge to edge. “Shuffle” draws a new grid and new letter widths
- Type right on the poster, stretch letters across several cells, drag grid lines, add rows and columns
- Weight, overshoot, slant, colour sets, a background photo and your own font by drag and drop
- Motion: the grid lines breathe or jump, the letters stretch with them
- Six formats, export as SVG with the font embedded, as PNG at print resolution or as video
