Drivers of Change Website for the “Drivers of Change for Global Higher Education” by ETH Zurich’s Strategic Foresight Hub: 60 drivers of change as a colourful card deck on the web.

Until then they existed as a printed card deck and an exhibition. Now they were to go online – as a reference and as a tool for workshops, conversations and personal reflection.

Every driver is a card
Idea
The website translates the card deck to the web. Each of the six STEEPL categories – social, technology, economy, environment, politics, legal – has its own colour and image shape, so you can see at a glance where a driver belongs.

Overview
The overview shows every card sorted by category or shuffled, as tiles or a list. Filters narrow it down to single categories. I designed variants for the number of columns and the sorting and compared them with the team.

From browsing to your own selection
Tool
Favourites let you collect cards, for example for a workshop. “How to use” guides the work with them in four steps: explore, prioritise, envision, reflect. Each card opens as an overlay with a description, questions for universities and a PDF download.

Execution
UX and UI design of the desktop website in early 2024: overview, detail view, filter, favourites, about and contact pages. I clarified open questions on navigation, favourites and the detail view with the Strategic Foresight Hub team and worked their feedback in as we went.
